Cotter Trout Dock Sign

Trout Fishing Report-White River-Arkansas

From Arkansas Game and Fish Commission

March 1, 2009 Edition

fishing in the snowWe had several groups out February 27 and 28.  Weather was pretty cold and wet, but the fishing was fairly good.  It snowed  the 28th (click on image to the right) but they kept on fishing.

We decided to do the shorelunches here at the dock instead of along the riverbank between Cotter and Buffalo City like we usually do.  Gave everyone a chance to warm up and eat inside.

Biggest trout was a 30" plus brown caught on a sculpin. Customer released it .

Most of the guides took out Berkley Powerbait,
Wolfer groupcorn, pink worms and minnows.
